Immigration Lawyer in Morristown, New Jersey. Coming from Nigeria

I visited Nigeria in May 2019 for a family function and of course, I had a fabulous time with family and friends.

Arriving at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York, I went down memory lane thirty years ago to that young girl arriving from Lagos, Nigeria, alone and a little anxious, and who wanted nothing more than to be a lawyer.

My immigration journey took me from an F-1 student at Pace University School of Law to the United States citizen I am today. In between, I navigated the very complex arena of immigration with the assistance of immigration lawyers whose help ensured that I could achieve my dream of becoming a United States citizen. I graduated from law school and was able to seek employment in my field of study with a 12 month optional practical training (OPT). Thereafter, using a H-1 visa, I obtained employment as a lawyer. That journey, while easier than some others, was nevertheless fraught with fear and trepidation every step of the way. I knew a couple of other foreign students who had fallen out of legal status due to a lack of proper legal counseling.

Without a doubt, immigration law is complex, confusing and continually evolving. The skilled knowledge of an experienced immigration attorney goes a long way in eliminating potential landmines. Having been through the process of navigating the ever-changing immigration laws, I am passionate about assisting others who are seeking to obtain legal status and United States citizenship.
